Ex-Pinoy Big Brother housemate Riza Santos is currently busy with a lot of projects and commitments in show biz, but she admits that she largely misses her schooling.
The former beauty queen emphasizes that she values her education and plans to continue her studies. A Biology major, Riza shares that before she went to the Philippines to try showbiz, she was actually preparing to enter medical school.
"For now I'm setting aside school, but I definitely wanna go back because it is very important to me," says Riza. "I'm almost finished (with my major) over there (in Canada), so I would rather finish what I started," she shares.
The sexy new comer currently has a TV show, a movie and an album recording lined up so she knows that she has to set aside her education. But Riza says she will know when the time is right to go back and finish her studies.
In the meantime, she keeps on reading her school books whenever she can in order to stay sharp. "Science books, math books, I try to read to keep my mind active," Riza confesses.
With an expected successful run of the Dolphy-Vic Sotto comedy Dobol Trobol, Riza Santos admits acting opposite the two legends was a daunting experience, especially when it came to doing scenes with her on-screen father, Dolphy.
“Before coming to the set, it was a little bit nerve wracking because I knew I was working with a legend and I didn’t know what the expectations were of me. But with Dolphy, he was very down-to-earth. He can talk to anyone and he actually really helped me how to internalize.
"He helped me see what it would be really like to be his daughter. He really took the time to tell me to imagine and be the role. He really helped me a lot. And he made me feel really comfortable on the set. Because I was really scared at first,” she admits.
This is the 21-year-old Fil-Canadian beauty queen’s third movie project to date (her first was a cameo role in When Love Begins and she was also part of the cast of Torotot).
Kahit laking Canada siya, she really made it a point na panatilihin ang kanyang virginity, for many reasons.
“I haven’t experienced having a boyfriend yet,” katwiran niya.
In so many instances, napapalunok na lang ng laway ang puwedeng taguriang “The Other Comedy King.” Come to think of it, mas bagay na maging “The Other Comedy King” na lang si Bossing Vic, di ba?

Nu’ng first shooting day, nailang si Riza kina Vic at Dolphy.
