How true? How true?

How lucky naman this girl could get.

Our ever-reliable source revealed that they were seen sa Macau last week.

Teka!

Kalungkot, no?

will_01 The Head of Household game was held last Sunday night where they have to hold on to their individual punching bags and the last to lose his grip would win. After more than fifteen minutes, Will was finally hailed as the HOH for the week and it was Riza Santos whom he chose as his partner for the special privileges that he would get.

As soon as she heard about it, Ethel immediately showed her hilarious dismay for not being picked by Will. The latter tried to console her but the she merely threatened to pack her things again and leave the house. Of course she was just kidding but jokes are half-meant.

Beauty queen turned actress Riza Santos reportedly earned the ire of Ruffa Gutierrez after she kept the entire cast and crew of ABS-CBN's new series I Love Betty La Fea waiting for hours on one of its recent tapings.

Aside from turning up way beyond her set call time, the Filipino-Canadian stunner did not even bother to offer an explanation for her tardiness or at least greet the people present at the set, Ruffa recalled.

"Ayoko na sanang palakihin ‘to pero ang sa ‘kin lang naman, you know, sana just say 'hi' naman to your co-stars, say 'hi' to your director, mga kasamahan mo. The Buzz during a sit-down interview.

RUNNING IN LATE. Based on what she heard and knew at the time, Ruffa said that Riza's call time was seven o' clock in the evening but she showed up at around 11 p.m.

"Last eksena ko na ‘yon. So, gusto ko na talagang umuwi kasi I wasn't feeling that well, at saka siyempre gusto ko naman makasama si Lorin at saka si Venice kaya parang excited din ako umuwi kasi kokonti lang ‘yong mga eksena ko for that day," explained Ruffa.

For a supposed quick take, Riza's absence consequently forced Ruffa and the staff to stay and linger around the set until near midnight.

Encountering a late co-star is not a rarity in the world of show business and Ruffa stressed that she was initially willing to put Riza's blunder behind to avoid stalling the shoot further. What irked the actress-TV host, however, was her co-star's apparent lack of courtesy the moment she arrived.

A source from Viva—the firm managing Riza's career—defended the former Pinoy Big Brother housemate by saying that their talent was not aware of her taping schedule that day, thus making the entire incident a case of miscommunication between the production team and Riza's group.

Ruffa argued that Riza could have at least issued an apology, particularly to the director, for all the hassle she had caused.

"At that point lang, Tito Boy, whether she was stuck in traffic or whether she had a big problem, you know, ang sa amin lang sana she could have said sorry man lang to the director because all of us were just waiting for her."

The daughter of former matinee idol Eddie Gutierrez and feisty manager Annabelle Rama still managed to keep her composure and was able to complete all the required takes in the span of an hour. After the shoot and before leaving the set, Ruffa—who by then was just waiting for Riza to give her side—finally decided to lecture the newbie on the ethics of professionalism.

"So parang one hour nang natapos ‘yong scene or 30 minutes, wala pa din po siyang sinasabi. Kumbaga parang, wala lang. So, when I stood up, I said, ‘Okay, bye everyone, bye!'"

Turning her attention to Riza, Ruffa said, "'You know, Riza, next time don't make anyone wait,' sabi kong ganun. ‘If you wanna make it in this business, be professional,' and I just left but still she didn't say anything after that."

Ex-Pinoy Big Brother housemate Riza Santos is currently busy with a lot of projects and commitments in show biz, but she admits that she largely misses her schooling.

The former beauty queen emphasizes that she values her education and plans to continue her studies. A Biology major, Riza shares that before she went to the Philippines to try showbiz, she was actually preparing to enter medical school.

"For now I'm setting aside school, but I definitely wanna go back because it is very important to me," says Riza. "I'm almost finished (with my major) over there (in Canada), so I would rather finish what I started," she shares.

The sexy new comer currently has a TV show, a movie and an album recording lined up so she knows that she has to set aside her education. But Riza says she will know when the time is right to go back and finish her studies.

In the meantime, she keeps on reading her school books whenever she can in order to stay sharp. "Science books, math books, I try to read to keep my mind active," Riza confesses.

With an expected successful run of the Dolphy-Vic Sotto comedy Dobol Trobol, Riza Santos admits acting opposite the two legends was a daunting experience, especially when it came to doing scenes with her on-screen father, Dolphy.

“Before coming to the set, it was a little bit nerve wracking because I knew I was working with a legend and I didn’t know what the expectations were of me. But with Dolphy, he was very down-to-earth. He can talk to anyone and he actually really helped me how to internalize.

"He helped me see what it would be really like to be his daughter. He really took the time to tell me to imagine and be the role. He really helped me a lot. And he made me feel really comfortable on the set. Because I was really scared at first,” she admits.

This is the 21-year-old Fil-Canadian beauty queen’s third movie project to date (her first was a cameo role in When Love Begins and she was also part of the cast of Torotot).

Kahit laking Canada siya, she really made it a point na panatilihin ang kanyang virginity, for many reasons.

“I haven’t experienced having a boyfriend yet,” katwiran niya.

In so many instances, napapalunok na lang ng laway ang puwedeng taguriang “The Other Comedy King.” Come to think of it, mas bagay na maging “The Other Comedy King” na lang si Bossing Vic, di ba?

Nu’ng first shooting day, nailang si Riza kina Vic at Dolphy.

Saka, paano raw sila magkakaharap, she was facing the wall at inaayos ang kanyang damit at si Katrina ay nasa kabilang side?

Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Edition Season 2 ex-housemate Riza Santos vehemently denied reports that she snubbed GMA-7's contract stars--particularly sexy-actress Katrina Halili--during the victory party of FHM's 100 Sexiest Women at World Trade Center in Pasay City last Thursday, July 17.

In the popular men's magazine tally for this year, Santos landed at No. 18 while Halili fell short of No. 1 which actually went to co-Kapuso star Marian Rivera.

In an interview, Santos explained that she didn't see that Halili was smiling at her because she only saw her through peripheral vision.

The Fil-Canadian beauty queen also denied that she snubbed Halili inside the comfort room of the Wall Trade Center since they are all busy preparing for their performance.

Santos was caught by surprise when she heard about the 'snubbing' issue saying that she doesn't know anything about it. She said there’s no reason for her to do it since she has no ill-feeling against any talents of GMA-7.

To prove her congeniality, Santos even shared that she met actress Alessandra de Rossi that night and GMA-7 dance group "EB Babes."

Santos said that she tried to introduce herself to Halili but she really had no chance.

Halili who is the two-time sexiest woman in the country, based on the magazine's poll appeared on entertainment show "StarTalk" last Saturday, July 19 and narrate what transpired at the venue.

She said that she doesn't know why Santos gave her and other stars like Alyssa Alano and LJ Reyes the cold treatment. She also said that she's not angry and has nothing against Santos.

Katrina is now busy with her upcoming films "Miss X," which is one of the movie hits of Star For All Season Governor Vilma Santos and "One Night Stand" with ABS-CBN's stars Valerie Concepcion, Angelica Panganiban and Roxanne Guinoo while Santos is part of the Comedy King Dolphy and Prince of Comedy Vic Sotto's upcoming movie "Dobol Trobol."

riza_will Former Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Edition 2 housemates Will Devaughn and Riza Santos are part of the cast of the Hollywood movie Road Raiders.

Road Raiders is a post-apocalypse action film in the style of Mad Max and is a US-Philippines co-production, shot entirely in English. The movie is directed by one of the Philippines’ most internationally successful directors, Cirio H. Santiago.

"It's completely untrue," says Riza Santos about rumors saying that she almost filed a case of oral defamation against fellow Pinoy Big Brother celebrity housemate Mariel Rodriguez. "My parents would not sue. I would not sue Ate Mariel."

Riza narrated the events that happened that Friday night, December 28, during the stag party of Ruben Gonzaga who was about to get married the next day.

"I went inside the house to change my shirt kasi mainit sa labas." Whila Riza was inside the PBB house, Mariel was left outside talking with Ethel Booba. The Ultimate Pasaway admitted that she was smitten by Will Deveughn, who is being linked to Riza. In response to Ethel's affection towards Will, Mariel cursed Riza, saying, "Pu--ng inang virgin na ‘to [Riza]. Pu__ng ina talaga!

At that point, I felt I didn't need to see it. I looked it up at You Tube and I saw everything. I saw the comments. I read what she said.

"There is no point in dwelling over it and thinking about it kasi she approached me naman and I accepted [her apology]. We've moved on from there.

"She said, ‘Sorry, alam mo naman we're friends.' Alam ko naman kaibigan kami so for me, it's not an issue," said Riza sincerely.

What can she say about the fact that Mariel made a face when she read the slip of paper indicating that Riza was the Second Big Placer of Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Edition 2.

You can interpret it in different ways, pero I haven't really talked to her about that particular issue. But I haven't changed my opinion about Ate Mariel. I'd still treat her the same way and I still consider her as my friend. I'm not going to treat her differently."

Don't you think Mariel should be held accountable for her actions? "Sa tingin ko, she's old enough to know the things she should say, how she should act. She's at that age when she knows the difference between right and wrong. She's at an age when she can make a sound judgment of anong dapat niyang gawin," said Riza.

The 2006 Ms. Earth-Canada title holder also pointed out that she has signed a five-year, nine-picture contract with Viva Films. In the upcoming Robin Padilla-Ai-Ai delas Alas movie, Riza will have a role as a balikbayan.

Riza on Mariel

“I really like Ate Mariel. Gusto ko siya and I guess, she didn’t mean anything what she said in the past. Between me and Ate Mariel, there’s no issue,” wika ni Riza nang makausap namin.

Bumabawi talaga si Mariel, Not bad.

Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Edition 2 Big 4—Ruben Gonzaga, Riza Santos, Gaby dela Merced, and Will Devaughn—made their first public appearance in The Buzz yesterday, January 6, after coming out from Bahay ni Kuya.

WILL DEVAUGHN. Fourth placer Will Devaughn revealed his thoughts about leaving the Big Brother house, his appreciation of the show, and of course, his true feelings for co-celebrity housemates Riza Santos and Ethel Booba.

"I'm absorbing everything," replied Will when asked by Ruffa Gutierrez about his thoughts after leaving the Big Brother house. "In every little detail that I learned in the house, I feel it now. It's a life lesson in three months—a complete life lesson."

Ruffa kidded, "Three months where nagpatibok ka ng dalawang puso sa loob ng bahay ni Kuya?"

With that, the studio audience grew wild as Will grinned, as if remembering the good old days.

"Yung dalawa talaga, ah, ibang-ibang tao. Si Ethel talaga, explosive, expressive, that's what I like about her. Si Riza naman mabait, matalino, church-oriented. So yung dalawa, it really depends. In love? Hindi pa," said Will.

If that's the case, then who would he consider knowing more now that there's no camera pointed to his direction?

Will smiled and said, "Si Riza, kasi I think I can learn a lot from her even if she's younger than me. Pero I enjoy our small talk and I know, ibang usap na."

Changing the subject, Ruffa asked, "Ikaw ba, Will, were you really thinking na papasok ka sa Big Four? What made you stand out?"

"Hindi ko alam, parang me and Riza and, syiempre, me and Ethel. Baka si Gladys [Guevarra] din, e, parang sort of put a twist into it as Kuya would say."

Where does Will Devaughn go from here?

"For me, dahan-dahan lang whatever I'm doing. So, sana more movies and more endorsements. I'm just happy to be here and to be part of the Big Four," Will said with a grin.

GABY DELA MERCED. Dubbed as the Racing Goddess, Gaby finished third among the Big 4. The hot racer responded to news about her being courted by Derek Ramsay.

"Magkaibigan po kami. We're really good friends," she explained.

How about Diether Ocampo? Rumor has it that he courted her, too.

Her decision to join PBB was completely supported by her dad, although her mom had her doubts. Why was that?

"Hindi kami mapanood sa mga shows and sa mga narining daw niya na, pagkarinig niya na 42 cameras, e, napraning siya. Pero nung nalaman niya kung paano pinalabas yung show, e, more than happy sa nakita niya," said Gaby.

What are her plans now that she's outside the Big Brother house?

"Gusto ko talagang kumarera sa U.S. Pareho pa rin yung pangarap, pero sigurado pabalik-balik ako," she answered.

Gaby was known to have always sacrificed herself for her housemates inside the House by volunteering to exit. What was she thinking?

I was willing to do it."

RIZA SANTOS. This FHM Babe finished second place, but that's just the beginning for Riza as she starts the New Year with loads of projects and the possibility of finding love with fellow PBB housemate Will Devaughn.

Boy Abunda wasted no time in getting straight to the point concerning the PBB love triangle between Riza, Ethel, and Will. He asked, "Mahirap bang karibal si Ethel Booba? You know Ethel likes Will.

"No, Ethel is not a task," Riza said. "Hindi po ako na-bother, kasi medyo I'm very mahiyain."

Boy asked, "Sino si Will sa iyong buhay? Papayagan mo bang mahalin ka ni Will Devaughn?"

"Kung may isang pipiliin ko sa mga housemates, e, definitely si Will kasi I like to get to know him better," Riza said.

How about Polo Ravales and Mark Bautista? Did they woo her, too?

"Kaibigan. They're both my friends," answered Riza.

Boy also asked: "Mark, Polo, Will—sino ang bibigyan mo ng pagkakataon na ligawan ka?"

"I definitely like to get to know Will better," Riza shyly said.

With that, Will stepped on the stage and sat beside Riza, much to the delight of Boy and The Buzz's studio audience. Now that they're face to face, what would they want say to each other?

Will spoke first, "Honestly, ito ang unang araw, di ba, [outside PBB] so sana we get to know each other more. Ito yung totoong test, so simula na."

"Malalaman natin sa takdang panahon," Riza replied.

RUBEN GONZAGA. Big Winner Ruben Gonzaga has everything laid out for him as he starts a new life after PBB. The comedian from Davao talks to The Buzz about his plans for the prize money and what he wants with his career. But first, is he planning on settling right here in Manila?

Is the post-PBB Ruben afraid of showbiz now that he has attained national fame?

How does he feel now that he's the first ever male winner of PBB?

About his winnings, does he already have a plan on what to do with it?

Finally, the locally known comedian sent out a message to his wife by saying, "Mahal na mahal kita.

To end the interview on a funny note, Boy asked Ruben if the comedian is also fit to don a sexy image?

"Ayoko talaga mag-bold," Ruben jokingly said, while slowly taking off his polo.
